Berries

Located at the Wrenbury Recreation Pavilion on Nantwich Road, Berries is a fresh and vibrant addition to the South Cheshire cafe scene. Launched in the summer of 2024 by owner Kelly Newton and head chef Laurie, it has quickly evolved from a village coffee spot into a bustling community hub that bridges the gap between a family-friendly eatery and a lively event space.

Food and Atmosphere

The cafe takes pride in its “locally roasted” coffee and a menu that focuses on fresh, seasonal fare. While it caters to the health-conscious with vibrant salads and artisanal sandwiches, it doesn’t shy away from the classics.

  • The Kitchen: Under Laurie’s direction, the kitchen serves everything from indulgent homemade cakes to hearty brunch dishes.

  • Family-Centric: The cafe was born from a vision to create a space where parents and grandparents could relax while children are entertained. It features a dedicated children’s menu and a “toy tester” (the owners’ son, Teddy) ensuring it remains one of the most welcoming spots for young families in the area.

Motorcycle-Friendly Features

While Berries is deeply rooted in village life, its location and facilities make it a tactical stop for the North West motorcycling community:

  • The Pavilion Setting: Being located at the recreation pavilion means there is a significant amount of flat, open parking away from the main road—ideal for groups of riders to park up safely.

  • Strategic Route: Wrenbury sits on a popular riding loop between Whitchurch, Nantwich, and the Welsh border. It offers a quieter, more scenic alternative to the busier A-road stops.

  • Outdoor Space: With a field and function space at the rear, there is plenty of room for riders to relax outdoors in their gear without feeling cramped.

Whether you’re stopping in for a “Beads and Booze” night or a quick coffee during a weekend ride, Berries offers a modern, high-energy slice of Cheshire hospitality.
