Secure Storage and Facilities

We understand that for any motorcyclist, security is the primary concern when choosing accommodation. You want to sleep soundly knowing your bike isn’t left out on a public street. To give you total peace of mind, the Glen Guest house offers two dedicated on-site garages. These facilities are specifically reserved for our guests and can safely house up to six motorcycles undercover.

In addition to our garaging, we have a gated outdoor area for extra bike storage and a large, private tarmacked car park. The flat, solid surface of our car park is a small but vital detail for riders, making arrivals and departures effortless regardless of how heavily loaded your panniers might be. Whether you are travelling solo or as part of a larger group, we have the space and the security measures to ensure your trip remains stress-free.

Touring is often a social experience, and we have designed our room configurations to reflect that. The Glen Guest house offers a variety of layouts to suit different riding parties:

Twin Rooms: Perfect for two friends touring together who require separate beds and a high standard of comfort.
Family Rooms: These spacious rooms are ideal for groups of three. They feature two separate beds plus a comfortable sofa bed, allowing friends to share a room while maintaining their own personal space.
Modern Amenities: Every room is equipped with the essentials needed to recharge after a long day in the saddle, including tea and coffee making facilities and high-speed Wi-Fi to help you plan your route for the following morning.

Situated just minutes from the M6 motorway, we offer incredibly easy access for those travelling from further afield. Once you arrive, you are at the gateway to some of the most iconic riding roads in the United Kingdom.

From our front door, you can head towards Windermere and Coniston via the scenic B5284—a local favourite known for its sweeping bends and stunning views. If you are looking for a technical challenge, we are the ideal starting point for a run over the Wrynose and Hardknott Passes. These legendary routes, with their steep gradients and hairpin turns, are a bucket-list experience for any serious motorcyclist.

After a day of navigating the Lakeland fells, you can return to the Glen Guest house to relax and swap stories with fellow riders.
